Youth Activities
Kickball 2016
The Bartlett United Methodist Youth are an active group of young people who enjoy life and are willing to share their lives with others. The following activities are a part of the history of our group and will probably be a part of our future as well.
APPALACHIA SERVICE PROJECT
- A project taken on by the Senior Highs and older youth and adults. Each year we take approximately 70 volunteers to the Appalachian mountains to enjoy new friends and new challenges. In A.S.P., our young people work making homes warmer, safer and drier. Most of all we share a friendship and love to the less fortunate of Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. Our participation has gone on for 38 years. Check the A.S.P. link for info.CHRISTMAS and THANKSGIVING DINNER
- We have collected money and provided needy families with food for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner as well as providing gifts for the children of these families at Christmas. Last year was incredible with 200 Thanksgiving boxes delivered by youth for needy families. The youth also participate in the "Christmas Child" program.SKI TRIP
- Join us on the ski slopes with our annual Holiday Ski Trip. This is one of the coolest (no pun intended) trips to chill out (OK! Already!) And enjoy the holidays with fun and fellowship! It is absolutely breath taking(that is the scenery AND when you bust on the slopes) teehee!RETREATS
- Want to be a part of a wild, crazy, insane weekend -well, our retreats are where that happens. Retreat themes vary but all are fun and a great time to get together in Christian Fellowship. We enjoy Junior and Senior High winter retreats through Lakeshore in Eva, TN each year meeting folks from all over the place! They're awesome.CAMP BEAR TRACK

It was an exciting "no stress- chill out" weekend that was filled with football, carpetball, coloring, snoozing in the sunshine, foosball, ping pong, swimming, campfires, catch phrase, sledge-o-matic, and required casual dress. What a way to get away from the craziness of the school year!SENIOR BANQUET

- Meeting every Wednesday night following the Church-wide dinners, our Bible Study group gets together to look at the scripture and discuss what it means to us. This is an informal meeting that can be really fun as well as an opportunity to learn a little more about God's word and our role in God's world. This study is for 7th through 12th grade yoots!LIVE NATIVITY SCENE
- A tradition at Bartlett that has been brought back by our youth department! The Live Nativity scene is a really exciting way the youth can spread a wonderful message to the community of Bartlett. The nativity costumes have been made anew and so has the tradition. You can come and dress up as a king, shepherd, Mary, Joseph or even an ANGEL in this wonderful spectacle the week before Christmas and a super addition to our church's Candlelight Service.
